What does mean to be mortal and immortal in this book? I mean those Balekin kill a lot of people who consider themselves to be immortal. Where is the explanation then?

At least they do, but it takes a very very very long time, as for Jude, a mortal, is lucky to live 100 years. To the Faes, it is a fleeting moment that means nothing, like how a bug could only live two weeks compared to us. (less)
