I would like to post your biographies of some of my Filles du Roi ancestors in their profiles on Ancestry.com. Hello Madeleine. Thanks for your interest in my book and thanks for the question. While no specific uses are stated in the "fair use" doctrine, it is intended mainly for educational institutions and reviews. The one clear stipulation is that it is for non-profit use. Since Ancestry charges for membership and services - and does not pay royalties - I cannot give my consent to copy my work to their site.

My many times over great grandmother; Jeanne Voidy Demers was a filles a marier. She arrived in New France in the year 1653 with recruits from LaFleche, France. Happy New Year Peter. I traced my Blais roots back to Pierre Blais (II) who immigrated to Quebec Ca from Hanc FR. I was surprised to learn that he married Anne Perrault, a Fille du Roi! Does her biography in your book contain more than DOB, marriage and DOD, etc? Also some question about her age... wikitree shows DOB 11/17/1647 Paris, FR, DOD 6/29/1688 at age 45, but those dates put her at 41.... thank you.
