Happy New Year Peter. I traced my Blais roots back to Pierre Blais (II) who immigrated to Quebec Ca from Hanc FR. I was surprised to learn that he married Anne Perrault, a Fille du Roi! Does her biography in your book contain more than DOB, marriage and DOD, etc? Also some question about her age... wikitree shows DOB 11/17/1647 Paris, FR, DOD 6/29/1688 at age 45, but those dates put her at 41.... thank you.

Hello Mike. Thanks for your New Year wishes and for your interest in my books. The biography of Anne Perrault in my book includes her year and place of birth, parents's names, and marriage information (including marriage contract info and the name of another FDR married that same day in the same parish and whether both spouses could sign the contract or not).
It also includes information on Pierre's parents and his birthplace, which is different from the "origin" listed in the marriage register, and the date and ship of Pierre's arrival in Canada. The birth (and sometimes death) dates and places of the couple's children are also listed, as are the birth and death dates and places of Pierre and Anne.
Anne's age is mostly inferred from various documents, probably the 1681 census and her burial. Sometimes the various sources listing a colonist's age do not agree, as in this case. And keep in mind that the age at death was obviously provided by someone other than the decedant.
I did not find a source with her actual birth date, so either that is "new" information or is inferred from other sources. If you can find a primary source confirming her birth date, I can update my book with the new information.
Good luck in your research!

Mr. Gagne- Ancestry.com reports that 'Before the King's Daughters' includes departure data, destinations, biographies and contracts. I'm writing to ask you if you might quickly check your index to see if those pieces of information are available for Marie Simon b.1625 in Chavy, Indre, Centre, France (my 8th grandmother)? If so, I'll order your book with great excitement immediately, Thanks!
