How do you get inspired to write?

Michael Hidalgo Writing for me is a way to refine my thoughts. Typically my inspiration comes from simply paying attention to our world. I notice things that cause me to form an idea and then connect that idea to a thought I had a few weeks before. This goes on in my head constantly. And there are so many things every single day that are inspiring - from the news cycle, to the sunrise, to my kids, to conversations with friends - we live in the midst of glory every minute. If we pay attention to that we will be endlessly inspired.
