Can you imagine Miles volunteering with a suicide prevention charity? "Don't do it! Being dead didn't solve any of my problems at all, they were all here when they brought me back plus this lousy seizure disorder. The afterlife is totally unmemorable, I don't remember anything between dying and being defrosted." Heh. There's a satirical fanfic waiting to happen...
For added bonus points, and a longer fic, imagine the roster of the rest of the characters in the role, for compare and contrast. I mean... Cordelia. Gregor. Aral. Ivan. Illyan. Alys... Yeah, it could be worse. Older Ivan might not be so bad, though.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
Dear Misses McMaster Bujold, Years ago, I read with great pleasure the Vorkosigan series. I re-read them loud for my wife (she loves that). The pleasure has been the same. And then, I read the "Chalion" books and, again, although I never liked fantasy, I loved them. I sincerely want to thank you for all this good you've done to us. THANK YOU !! (And neglect this sentence, this web-site demands a question mark ?)

Hi Lois!I was in a bit of a funk so I reread Cordelia's Honor and caught a few things that I hadn't noticed before. I will have a separate post for each. #3 What exactly IS a flimsy? I keep thinking I have it figured out from context, but in Barrayar, Kly is carrying stuff in a flimsy (the snacks he gives to Gregor, the gum leaf). I can't imagine how the flimsy I had been imagining could be used as a container.
