There was a point in my life when I consumed a novel every two days. After reading hundreds of books, I discovered some of the plots were similar. As a diversion, I wondered if I could write a story that was a little different. I did and became hooked on writing fiction. When I read that first manuscript, I groan because it was horrible. But that experience sparked a continuing drive to write.
