Do you have a special character and if so what makes them special?

Sarah Noffke Thanks for the great question. I do have a special character who I adore. Ren, the Brit who speaks in long diatribes from The Lucidites Series, is my favorite character. I LOVE writing his dialogue. It's my opportunity for my dark side to come out. Ren is snarky and comically abusive to everyone he meets. And his abrasive nature is the very thing that also makes him strangely likable. He's also a bit of a performer and most of the people around him pretend not to like it, but they all find him entertaining. Isn't it strange that some of the best characters are the most flawed? They're interesting and the "goody-goods" are just not as much fun.
