I'm reading the Dark series and I'm in LOVE with these books! So far I'm only on Dark Gold and every human lifemate that is found is so far beautiful and young. At 1st Aiden thought Alexandria was a hag and not beautiful even though he knew her to be his lifemate that he'd been waiting so long for. Are there going to be any human lifemates that aren't beautiful? I know that they would be cherished no matter what.

Whether anyone else considers someone beautiful, the person who loves them, the person meant for them, will see them as beautiful. I describe a heroine through the eyes of the hero. A hero will find them beautiful.
Everyone is beautiful in their own way. That's not to say they are perfect, since no one is, but beauty is multi-faceted and subjective so it has great potential to be seen.
I do have characters who are scarred. Some who have faults. That isn't to say they aren't beautiful.
