Kayne Spooner
Kayne Spooner asked Eloisa James:

What was the inspiration for Yasmin's name in The Reluctant Countess? I was wondering if there is a story behind why her mother chose it or why you chose it? Thank you for your beautiful stories.

Eloisa James I can answer that with a glimpse at the next book, which starts in the same time frame (so Yasmin is unmarried):

“Silvester and I have been addressing each other by our given names,” Yasmin said, “so please, can we all be more informal? Stella, your name is French, so naturally I adore it. Mine is Yasmin, which is not French, but a version of my mother’s favorite flower, jasmine.”

“I certainly prefer informality!” Merry said, clapping her hands. “My name is Merry, as in Christmas.”
