At this point in my life, three things motivate me to write: 1) I have always written and always wanted to write, and nothing has changed — creating stuff is my driving force every day; 2) My readers expect new stories, as I have become a part of their lives with my work — that is a huge responsibility that I take very seriously, as they have given me the career I've dreamed about since I was in the 3rd grade; 3) Starvation: If I don't write, I don't eat, and I'll be damned if I go back to working for The Man ever again (unless "The Man" is the mob and I get to be a hit man).

Hi, I must say I absolutely loved Alive and Alight, currently I have bought Alone and I know I will enjoy it! But the question is, as I can finish books rather quickly (even more faster when it comes to the Generations Trilogy), which other book would you recommend me if I liked those books? You are a plot mastermind. I have just discovered your work and as a paramedic I enjoy reading about science and guts and gore. Just finished Nocturnal, loved it. Where do you get the inspiration for the action sequences? Do you act them out with some buddies ahead of time? They are always very cool!
