Deepti
Deepti asked Devika Fernando:

Devika, how do you write? Do you write the first draft in one go, without making changes and edits, and then hone your first version later? Or do you make changes as and when you are writing? What makes you such a wonderfully prolific writer?

Devika Fernando First of all, thanks so much for the high praise that I can only return!
I usually write my first draft in one go and then let it rest for some weeks before revising and editing. Sometimes I take a break because a different story might be more important / urgent. In that case I end up rereading and changing the story before I dive into it again.
