What is your favorite line that Sage has said to someone? Like a roast or something sarcastic for example. His character is the main reason I love the Ascendance series, all your other books, and you are my favorite author!! If I could meet anyone in the world it would be you (and Sage). Thanks!

(view spoiler)[Thanks very much, Kar! As to my favorite line from Sage? I dunno, there's a few:
Mrs. Turbeldy: Next time I checked on him, he’d got over the fever on his own and he was a good deal more humble.
Conner: He doesn’t look so humble now.
Sage: I got over that too.
Sage: Are you here to kill me? Because I’ll scream if you do, and you’ll be in trouble.
Tobias: You’ll be dead.
Sage: Yes, but you’ll be in trouble.
Captain:Surrender your ship, or we’ll sink it!.
Sage: Go ahead and sink it. We’re all very capable swimmers here.
Captain: I meant that if we attack, you all will die.
Sage: No, I don’t think we will. What do you want?
Sage: Lady Orlaine, can I assume this meeting was to debate the mating rituals of the spotted owl?
Lady Orlaine: There was an assassination attempt tonight, sire.
Sage: Yes, I know. I was there.
Sage: You’ll get nothing from me, ever, you dog-breath, rotted corpse of a king.

I've recently been reading about Julius Caesar for school and how he got captured by pirates. It reminds me so much of Jaron and how he behaved toward the pirates in "The Runaway King". Did you take any inspiration from the pirates who captured Caesar when you were writing about the Avenian pirates? I think that would be so cool if you did!

?Hi Jen! I am in love with your books!! The Scourge really relates to this world pandemic rn, The False Prince series makes me wish there were ppl just like your characters especially Jaron(too smart-you cant mix education with intelligence) and if I shifted into their world I would ask Roden to teach me sword fighting;)I love the brave, tomboyish girl characters- I would try out for Aurelia if they made a movie.
