Cora
Cora asked Jennifer A. Nielsen:

Hi! I am currently in the midst of writing something, but I wanted to add a little bit of me in there. Do you know if I am allowed to reference famous books or musicals (such as Hamilton perhaps?) without getting into some kind of trouble or if I had to get explicit permission? Sorry, I don't know if that made any sense or not... Oh and also, I am a huge fan of your work! Thank you for all that you do!

Jennifer A. Nielsen Hi Cora, rights to what might be usable in your writing can be a bit complex and is something you ought to research carefully before any publication. Generally speaking, titles cannot be copyrighted (Hamilton) but the lyrics in Hamilton are. But definitely do your research!
