An intriguing villain always has something relatable about them. They might be evil, but they take care of their ailing granny. Or maybe they're rotten to the core except for the fact that they adopt pets with special needs. They could be a horrible person, but then we find out about all the bad things that happened to them in their past that shaped the way they live now. Give them a trait that makes the reader sympathize with them, and that makes them intriguing.

i'm in love with the wake trilogy, it's one of my favorites. I also read the preview of Crash and I am instantly hooked, but i couldn't help but notice many similarities with bob's burgers although the show is, well comedy, it is very similar in certain details which is even better. Is it just me or what? anyways CANT WAIT TO READ IT!!!!! lots of love - loving reader :)

I just finished your book Wake, and I thought it was great! I literally could not put it down, and actually ended up finishing it the same day I had started it! The entire plot was extremely interesting, and always had me intrigued. Although I did have a couple questions about it; what gave you the idea for this story? And were there any parts that you might have edited out of the book, that you wish you had kept in?
