How did you find the strength and energy to write books and raise your children after your husband's death? I have read and enjoyed your books since "Where Are the Children?" but now that I am widowed mother of 7 kids, my admiration has increased a thousandfold.

Mary Higgins Clark I had to find the time to write, and I realized that if I got up at 5 in the morning and worked until quarter of 7, I had time to feed the kids and be ready for my carpool at quarter of 8. That sounds very virtuous, but lots of people get up to do yoga or go for a run, so what I did was simply to do in a different way what other people love to do.

How do you get lawmakers/lawyers and law-enforcement to answer specific questions? I keep getting stonewalled by, "WHAT did you say this was for? And, WHO are you?" and "I can't answer that over the phone, we'll have to set up a consultation (for $150!)". Any advice, so I can move forward in this area, would be greatly appreciated.
