I actually like the hardcore characters in the book: her father, her son, her two assistants, and Alex, the love interest. I like them as people. They would have been my good friends in they hadn't only existed on paper.

What was it about Laurie Moran, the heroine in I'VE GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN, that made her right to "spin-off" into a new series?
