Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mike Trigg I've spent most of my adult life in the San Francisco Bay Area and most of my career in the tech industry. But I always wanted to write novels. The idea for BIT FLIP originated by keeping a journal of some of the more humorous and outrageous things I observed about Silicon Valley. A novel seemed like the logical medium for the vignettes I was collecting, but I didn't have a plot yet. Then, after losing a job several years ago, I let my imagination run wild and a storyline just unfolded from there. I describe the novel as a social critique disguised as a corporate thriller. Although the main characters and companies are all fictional, many of the events are derived from my personal experiences living and working in Silicon Valley.
