Hi Brigid! I've got to start off by saying Defy the night was my first read by you. I grew up loving robin hood and when I heard about your book I knew I had to read it. You did not disappoint, I loved it so much! Here's my question... the chemistry between the two main characters was soo good, will the next book remain YA or are you considering maybe a NA category? A little spice between them would be fantastic!!

Brigid Kemmerer Thank you so much! I've been getting a lot of inquiries from readers about whether my books will ever get more "spicy." I can say that Forging Silver Into Stars, my next series set in the world of the Cursebreakers, will have a little more romantic time on the page. I'm not done with the sequel to Defy the Night yet, but I can confidently say that it will probably lean in that direction without veering fully into NA or Adult territory. I do still have a lot of younger readers, so I try to write carefully so as to give my older readers the content that they want, while also trying to be mindful that younger YA readers will still want to enjoy the characters and the story without having to read anything they're not ready for. It's a delicate balance for sure, but I'm doing by absolute best. ❤️
