It depends on the kind of writer's block I'm dealing with. The first thing I do no matter what is always having a novel and a few short story projects going at once. If I hit a dead-end on one I can just jump on another one and get some writing done. Keeping some notes or a little journal on the projects helps a lot with jumping back and forth.
If it's a block from the writing period, I go on the hunt for inspiration. I engage in activities with my peers, listen to speculative fiction podcasts, and hit up my always growing "to be read" list.
