Raz T. Slasher was born in Dayton, OH, on September 9th of 1982, and refuses to leave, no matter how many people might want him to. He was introduced to a world of love and horror by his mother Patricia from a young age and has never looked back. He owes everything he becomes to her, always.

​Raz T Slasher has been writing since childhood. Inspired early on by the works of Poe, Lovecraft, King, and Barker, he's always sought to put forth his own voice amidst a genre full of shambling madness and fantastical terror. Using his own unique brand of dark humor, he strives to blur the line between reality and imagination whenever possible.

The first thing I do no matter what is always having a novel and a few short story projects going at once. If I hit a dead-end on one I can just jump on another one and get some writing done. Keeping some notes or a little journal on the projects helps a lot with jumping back and forth.

If it's a block from the writing period, I go on the hunt for inspiration. I engage in activities with my peers, listen to speculative fiction podcasts, and hit up my always growing "to be read" list.(less)

This is especially true when it comes to horror. Is there some event or some person in your life that negatively affected you in a big way? Use that! All jokes aside, being a writer is a lot of fun. I get to make up stories all day and talk to a lot of people about my work or even the work of others. Getting paid to do that is the greatest thing I have ever done in my life.(less)
