Hi Jodi, I first found you when I downloaded The Nothing Girl a few years ago and love your Elizabeth Cage series (I've a few books of yours on my Christmas list too). You are such a prolific writer I would love to know, if you have a working routine / what inspires you to write? Kind Regards Sally
Jodi Taylor
Hi Sally.
I write all the time. If I'm not actually writing I'm usually thinking about writing. Or eating chocolate. Or both. For some reason - and to everyone's surprise, because I'm not a morning person - I write better in the mornings. No one knows why. I have my best thoughts in the bath. I frequently find myself with a completed plotline and a bath full of cold scummy water. I suspect this sort of thing never happens to JK Rowling. I have notebooks all over the house because I never know when an idea will strike. I often have several books on the go at the same time because then if I get stuck on one I can move to another. It's actually really good fun to move from the bloody aftermath of something Time Police related to a Regency drawing room in 1814. And often quite hilarious too.
I'm sorry I don't have anything tangible like a writing routine. It just happens. I have no control of any kind.
Best wishes,
Jodi

A thought occurred to me as I was listening to the Elizabeth Cage series. Does the Sorenson Clinic eventually turn into the Red House clinic that we know from St Mary's? They seem to both have the same front of catering to the rich and famous while having nefarious things going on underneath.
