Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Monet Edmundson For years I had struggled with creating a well structured story. All my ideas felt unoriginal and I was searching in the back of my mind for something. I started with a subject I knew a lot about: the civil war period. From that a beloved idea, for me at least, of writing a historical fiction book came flowing out. I had the names of the presidents I wanted to focus on, before I even considered the plot. Eventually Amelia Raht and Otto Ray were born.
