Gran gets pregnant at 16 and Mr. Preston wants to marry her---so either he's the father or he was going to marry a teenager with a baby. Another thing that bothered me was gran was really young when she died. Working under the assumption Molly was in her 20's and her mother was in her 20's when she had Molly...she was maybe in her late 50's??? (less)

Helen Morgan Erm 75 less 25 is 50. 50 less 17 is 33. Molly’s mum would have been 33.

Judith Honestly, who cares at this point? We all agree this book has numerous credibility issues.
