(view spoiler)[Big fan! However, there is one little thing that is driving me nuts in "The Jewel ... ." [ ALERT--possible spoiler] : If Loretta and Philip are each occupying a bedroom in Aleda's two-bedroom cottage, where are Jewel and Becky sleeping? Did I miss something? (Thanks for taking my question!) (hide spoiler)]

Hi Lorna, please forgive my delay in responding to your astute question. The answer is....um.....yeah.....they slept in the......is it getting warm in here?
You're the first person ever to notice this. Even my editors, who go went through the manuscript with fine-tooth combs, did not catch it. I certainly didn't have a clue. It's been so long since I wrote the book that I can't think how my mind was churning, but probably because I start out with the roughest of outlines and then wing it as ideas come. So when I described the cottage, maybe didn't realize Loretta and Philip would be visiting? Anyway, thanks for saying you're a fan in spite of my bumbling. Will be more careful in future. I hope. Wishing you and yours the best of everything, Lorna.

I'm reading The Widow of Larkspur. I don't know when I've enjoyed a book so much! It has delicious morsels to chew slowly and savor. Wonderful book! I'm a freelance writer of sorts (non fiction). Do you have any advise for someone who wants to try to write fiction but doesn't have a clue how to go about it?
