Kruunch We've spent the last two centuries inadvertently destroying our own atmosphere.

Doing it purposefully to an entire other planet in under thirty years wouldn't be feasible.

Among many other reasons.
Dave Harmon CO2 is pretty tough to destroy, even if you broke it up it would probably reform itself when it cooled off. - and i dont think a solar shield the size of a planet in geo-solar-synchonous orbit is possible
