Hi! I loved the book Kalahari and just recently finished it. I just wanted to tell you how much I love your books and how I really appreciate the way you really develop the characters and their personalities. When did you start getting into writing and do you have any tips for young writers?

Thanks so much for reading! When developing characters, I find it helpful to create a graph with their personality traits written in squares. I then compare them to each other and find ways to make them more different to each other. The higher the contrast between their personalities, goals, and values, the greater the resulting conflict and drama will be.

A beautiful ending to the Skyborn Trilogy, thank you. The third act of the book was a masterpiece of suspense, from Gussie's redemption to the question of Twig's survival. Up to now, "Last Of Her Name" was probably my favorite of your tales, but with all due respect to that and Corpus, Skyborn has brought your storytelling to a whole new level. As patient as I usually am, I can barely wait to find out, What's Next?
