hey ! i wanted to ask are your books clean ? my definition of clean is basically nothing more than kissing, violence is completely chill. also i heard your etiquette and espionage series is clean. is that true ? also does this specific series have any bi characters ?

Gail Carriger Thanks for including your definition, that helps a lot. Under that, no the Parasol Protectorate and Custard Protocol books do not qualify. Only my YA books would fall into this category, which currently (2021) is the Finishing School series and Crudrat. And some of my early short stories.
Any bi characters?
The main character in the Parasol Protectorate series, Alexia, is bi/pan but doesn't sexually explore her options, so to speak. She is flirty tho. Pretty much all of LBGTQ+ is represented in the Custard Protocol series. There is a bi character in the Finishing School series, but it's not relevant to her story arc in that series, so it's not cannon until after that series ends. There is also a gender fluid character in that series, but she is a child, her identity and sexuality are not fully formed (she is a reoccurring character throughout so you learn all about her later).
Lots of my characters how up in lots of my books, so representation is sort of crossover, so to speak.
