Hi Lori! looking forward to read Pahua And The Soul Stealer but have two questions I was wondering: 1. How do you pronoun Pahua's name? And 2. What is a memorable experience you have had with nature that inspired you to write this book?

Hi, D.J.! I'm so glad you're looking forward to Pahua :D
1. You pronounce it Pah-HOO-ah. (where -ah rhymes with 'blah' or 'ma')
2. There was this hollowed out tree my class visited in elementary school called the lightning tree because it had been struck my lightning. Getting to squeeze inside the trunk was always so cool to me, and I included a lightning tree in the book as a little callback to that moment :)

Not a question, but I just finished reading your update on Gates and wanted to say that the story so far has been pretty freaking awesome. While it’s totally understandable how you currently feel about it, I very much hope you can eventually rediscover joy in this story and the inspiration to finish it. It might just be my opinion, but I think you’ve really done a fantastic job so far and can’t wait for the ending. ?
