1. You pronounce it Pah-HOO-ah. (where -ah rhymes with 'blah' or 'ma')
2. There was this hollowed out tree my class visited in elementary school called the lightning tree because it had been struck my lightning. Getting to squeeze inside the trunk was always so cool to me, and I included a lightning tree in the book as a little callback to that moment :)

Hi, Eden! I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. There wasn't any single thing that inspired me, but I fell in love with fantasy and desperately wished magic was real. Spinning tales of fantasy worlds, wondrous creatures, and adventures is the closest to magic that I can conjure.

This makes me so happy to hear. Thank you! The most fun scenes to write were definitely all the ones in the Dead Wood. I really wanted to push the horror elements in those scenes, which isn't something I normally write. I'd love to integrate more of the conventions of other genres into fantasy in the future :)

I never know what I'll be reading next until I pick it up. However, I'd like to start Flame in the Mist, and at some point get to Windwitch by Susan Dennard and Want by Cindy Pon as well. But I've also got some awesome arcs I want to finish quickly, such as Wonder Woman by Queen Bardugo, Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie Dao, and The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton.

I don't really know. The third book definitely wraps up Kai's story. But there's a lot in the GoTaS universe to explore. I doubt I'd write any more full-length books, but I'd certainly be open to writing short stories set in that world or even set before Rebirth.

I do get asked this a lot, but I honestly don't mind. It keeps me motivated that readers still want the third book :) I don't have a general timeframe, unfortunately. All I can say is I will try for as soon as I can <3

That would be STELLAR if that happened, but honestly, I don't know. I don't have any control over that, sadly. That's entirely up to my foreign agent and Spanish publishers. Fingers crossed <3

I wish I had an answer for you, but I'm so sorry I don't. I promise to let you all know as soon as I know more about the third book. In the mean time, thank you thank you for still being interested and for asking. I get an email almost every day about whether or not there will be a third book, and although it sucks to have to give the same answer ("I don't know"), it also gives me hope.
