Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

R.L. Parker Ayrelon was created in 1993 as a world I could host roleplaying game sessions in, and was slowly built up through those gaming sessions. Bathed in the Blood of Ravens is set in the 2nd Era of Man and features Laurence Ravencrest, Mordechai, Nightweaver, Drakahl, and many other characters that were Non-Player Characters in several of those game sessions, which were set in the 3rd Era of Man. The entire A Destiny of Blood & Magic series represents the expanded 'back story' for the most influential characters, factions, kingdoms and the overall world of Ayrelon, and it's a story that's been brewing in my mind for over twenty years.
