What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

R.L. Parker Worry more about your story and characters, and less about word count, chapter structure, tropes, or following some random formula. I see a lot of advice all over the web telling authors to write certain ways... ignore it. Ignore all of it. Bury yourself into your story in your mind. Dream it. Experience it. Then write what you feel, and let your characters speak for themselves. Worry about the rest (editing, formatting, publishing) later.
