Yes, I noticed that. For that matter, in the first book, Elizabeth Waring was a data analyst with an MBA, whereas in subsequent books she's a lawyer. Furthermore, in Sleeping Dogs, Elizabeth lives in Alexandria, and in The Informant she's in McLean, but Michael remembers the house. And although I don't have the book before me, I think in Eddie's Boy she's still in the same house, although at the conclusion of The Informant she says she and her children are moving because the house holds such a terrifying memory for them. I'm not sure Perry re-reads his previous books (at least, not with attention to detail) before writing the sequels, but they're pretty great anyway.

I noticed all those changes, Elizabeth's education, house location, the re-use of Charles Ackerman alias, Eddie's death, plus in one book Eddie took him on at 10 years of age, and he had one relative who didn't want him, but in Eddie's Boy it was 3 years of age with no relatives. This is my favorite series and author, and I've read and re-read the books many times, but when I encounter these blips it's like hitting a little speed bump.

I noticed the shift in Elizabeth Waring's background, but it didn't detract anything for me. These are terrific books.

Yes and MANY other continuity errors. Lenore pointed out several besides Eddie's death and I also noticed that the BB was again using an alias he said he would have to trash forever in a previous book. I found the rewriting of previously established history really took me out of story.
