Cassie Roxanne Odd! I didn't realize publications would vary between countries. Mine is the same as Salmah's and conveyed to me how Antara seems to experience her life as a spectator
Sara It’s possible that for a few moments Antara sees herself as becoming like own mother, physically and emotionally. That’s how I read it. That she flees the claustrophobia of the family gathering, steps outside and outside time as well going back to the days of tramping the streets but goes in to reclaim her daughter and her life presumably?
Dhruv K Wow, did I have a different version from Salmah? Mine didn't have half those events.
As far as I could see, the book ending is pretty inconclusive. Doesn't look like the story wasn't heading towards a conclusion (it hardly had a beginning to speak of). What I took away from the book was the everlastingness of the cycle.
