How do you get inspired to write?

Abe Michaels I've read science fiction and fantasy books since I was in 3rd grade. I won a young authors contest in 3rd grade, and up until 6th grade, thought I would be a writer. I went into IT as a profession due to my love of computers and technology, and recently decided to get back intro writing which I've always wanted to do. It was really the almost nightly storytelling to my two boys (8 and 6) that got me thinking about writing again.
