Have you read The Queen's Gambit, by Walter Tevis? I would be interested in your opinion of it.

Manny Rayner I still haven't read it! I was put off by chess friends who said Tevis was a weak chess player and described the chess scene inaccurately. But I have read Luzhin's Defense, Lisa: A Chess Novel and The Mating Game.
