This book is apparently 608 pages - that's pretty long. Does it drag, or make you lose interest at points?

There's a ton of story switching between modern times and the 1900s so you can't really get bored, or even stop paying attention. It was actually pretty refreshing to get such a detailed view of all of the characters.(less)
