i have started reading this book and i am on the 154 page of it. its interesting but too narrative. i feel sorry for the girl who got married to mr de winter. she is so dumb and confused. what do u all think about this book. need a simple motivation to go on.

Mary I felt the same way, but after a while the story begins to move faster. I found it interesting and worth the read. I was also aggravated at the girl/narrator for being so naive, so I tried to keep in mind that the story was written and takes place in the late 30's. That doesn't excuse all of her behavior, but it helped me keep reading.(less)
