i have started reading this book and i am on the 154 page of it. its interesting but too narrative. i feel sorry for the girl who got married to mr de winter. she is so dumb and confused. what do u all think about this book. need a simple motivation to go on.
Shingeling never judge a book by what you think you know about it before even finishing it. it is not quite a novel you can simply go through without actually re…morenever judge a book by what you think you know about it before even finishing it. it is not quite a novel you can simply go through without actually reading between the lines. the narrator is actually pretty mysterious. the reader knows nothing about her, not her exact age (although it is obv that she is not older than 18y old), not even her name and just little hints about her childhood. the book reminds me a lot of Jane Eyre, even though the narrators are pretty different in terms of character traits.. btw it is just what du Maurier wanted..to make us think that the narrator is inexperienced,naive etc :)..(less)
