David Muller
David Muller asked Asha Lemmie:

I have not read your book, yet the title caught my attention and the reviews are compelling! How did the idea for the book and title manifest for you? Thanks, David Muller

Asha Lemmie Hi David! The title for Fifty Words For Rain is based on the saying that there are fifty words to describe rain in Japanese, since it rains so often in Japan. There are other languages too, that are said to have dozens of words to describe rain or snow. I’m something of an amateur linguist, and so I thought that would make an apt metaphor to describe the many different kinds of obstacles that we all face in life, and that Nori in particular faces in the story.
