I do not seem to understand why Julian killed so many people in the last few pages. I know it is related to his relationship with his father, but why kill Sasha, David, and try to kill Allie? That did not help him figure out who put the bullet in the gun. It did surprise me that is was Allie's Dad.

I think that over the years he kept tabs on all of the others and knew their weaknesses. That was how he knew to visit David and offer him alcohol to get him drunk in order to kill him. He watched them and knew that the secret was taking a toll on all of their lives and eventually someone would break.(less)
