I found the Finishing School series before knowing of the other series. Would you recommend the Parasol or Custard Protocol next?

Gail Carriger Well there are two adult spin off stories that actually come in-world chronologically next and feature Finishing School Characters (Preshea's story in POISON OR PROTECT and Dimity's story DEFY OR DEFEND). But if you want to move on to a full longer series than definitely go with The Parasol Protectorate not Custard Protocol. If you want a look in on Sophronia you should start the Parasol Protectorate with the prequel short story, MEAT CUTE.
