Breny and Books
Breny and Books asked Roseanna M. White:

How long does it take you to write your first draft? And from there to ''finished'' product? ps. I love all of your books! They are the best :)

Roseanna M. White In recent years I've been drafting most novels in the course of a couple weeks, actually...though those weeks could be spread out over a couple months. I'm usually working with only about 3 months set aside per book, given my deadlines, so I'll take a week and write the first half, take a break, write the second half, do some self-editing and polishing, and turn it in. Then my publishers have a many-months-long editorial process, during which I see it 3 times for various stages of editing. There's at least a year between when I turn in my manuscript to them and when it comes out.
