Cintia asked Roseanna M. White:

Hi! I'd love to read your books but I wasn't able so far, because they are not sold in my country. I just wanted to ask, how do you handle writer's block? From an aspiring writer who suffers a serious case of blocking...

Roseanna M. White Often my first method is to indulge it--read a book I've been eager for, watch a movie I love. Give my brain a break. Then, if inspiration doesn't come naturally, I force myself to sit down and get back to work. If I have the time, I'll reread what I've written thus far. Sometimes it's a matter of the last bit I wrote just being wrong. If I delete a few pages and go a different direction, the problem might resolve itself. But sometimes it's a simple matter of making myself write whether I want to or not. Telling myself I'm not allowed to do anything else until I finish this chapter of meet my target word count. When inspiration fails, pure determination usually fills in the gaps. =) I might have to edit those sections extensively later, but just getting through them in all that matters on a first draft!
