You deal with real life issues facing our military and I love them. Your books are very emotional reads for me. I can't even imagine how it would be for you, the writer. So ... how do you deal with the emotion your books evoke in you?

Jessica Scott Well, to be honest, half the time, I'm bawling as I write them. I figure if I can get my own emotions worked up, then hopefully some of that emotion will turn up on the page for readers, too.

I have to admit, though, that writing is cathartic for me. It really helps me process everything, you know?

Hi! Are the books in your "Coming Home" series stand alone books, or should you read them in order? From reviews it sounds like the characters have mentions but are not directly written about in each book...thanks for your time :)
