I enjoyed "My Sister's Grave" immensely! I appreciate you not going into gory details regarding her assault as some authors do, as a female and nurse that is the quickest way for me to dismiss a book/author in a second! I was hoping you might share a bit of your journey to be published? I know that's not exactly a question, but no doubt interesting nonetheless.

Robert Dugoni Like most authors it was a struggle. I was rejected 42 times before I wrote a book and got an agent. I've been let go by a publisher and had a lot of low moments. But as my dad said, the best revenge is success and it was nice to have success with My Sister's Grave. Really what I needed was a break and I got it with that book. I've also studied the craft of writing a lot and I've become a better writer.

In the latest book, Tracy has an internal conflict throughout about continuing her detective work or staying home to be a mom to her infant. Is this conflict resolved? After reading, I could tell which way she was leaning but she never directly stated if she was done with work. I'm guessing the ambiguity means there is another book coming. 😁
