I enjoy Tracey Crosswhite books so much that I usually start and finish the books on the same day. One of the key aspects for me is how relatable Tracey is. I also always enjoy a female strong lead. Who was your inspiration for Tracey and how do you keep inspired to make her a realistic woman (with realistic issues of the 21st century)?

First, I have to congratulate you being able to read the entire book in a day. I just don't have that staying power. I rely on many women in my life. My mother. My wife. My sisters and the women I've worked in the law with. I try to stay on top of issues in the news as well. I also have a great homicide detective who helps me understand what it's like being a woman in a male dominated field.
