Peter J. Gagne:
How can I get a copy of the index you authored for the 30 book set "Our French-Canadian Ancestors" in English? I have seen it in a library. I began collecting the books two years ago, and later bought the digital copy of 30 books, but there is so much information even in the other books, that I would love to be able to find these bits on my ancestors when they come up in other people's story. Thanks!

Hello, Karen.
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, that book is long out of print. I tried to see if there were any online stores that are selling it, but did not find any. I think that your best bet would be to try to find it used. Mabye the American-French Genealogical Society, which publishes my Filles du Roi and Before the King's Daughters books, would be interested in publishing the index.

Hello ! I'd love to get your King's Daughter book, which seems phenomenal ; I have contacted the AFGS website ; "unfortunately" for me, the shipping cost to have the book sent to me (in Belgium) is about 66 $ - the same cost as the book itself ! Is there any way to pay for a digital version of the book ? Thank you in advance, and congratulations for your thorough work on the subject.

I have just purchased the e-book of King's Daughters and Founding Mothers (already loving it!) and have a fair use question. I would like to post your biographies of some of my Filles du Roi ancestors in their profiles on Ancestry.com. May I do so, as long as I indicate that these are direct quotes and give proper attribution? Madeleine Cousineau

continued as I ran out of characters? I would absolutely cite your books. Having said this, I cannot guarantee that generations from now, someone may not make additional copies or post the contents on ancestry. ca. Thank you for doing this hard work Peter. Take care!
