Rachel Renée Russell Hi Hajra, thanks so much for your question! Although Nikki Maxwell is a fictional character, she was inspired by my own daughter. Like, Nikki Maxwell, my daughter is also named, Nikki, and is a very talented artist. My daughter is also the illustrator of Dork Diaries. Both Nikkis are very creative, warm, and funny!
