Goodreads asked Carrie Looper Stephens:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Carrie Looper Stephens Writer's block can seem scary, but it's often an opportunity to take a step back and answer deeper questions. Questions that help me get out of writer's block are: What does my character want? Who does my character want to be? How will my character get what he or she wants and become who he or she wants to be? Character is what drives the story, so taking a step back and delving into a character and letting that character be who he or she wants to be, NOT who I want them to be is a huge step in the right direction.

Listening to music and drinking caffeine also helps. :)
