Writer's block can seem scary, but it's often an opportunity to take a step back and answer deeper questions. Questions that help me get out of writer's block are: What does my character want? Who does my character want to be? How will my character get what he or she wants and become who he or she wants to be? Character is what drives the story, so taking a step back and delving into a character and letting that character be who he or she wants to be, NOT who I want them to be is a huge step in the right direction.

Rewrites and edits to Book 2! I'm so excited. Of the whole trilogy, Book 2 is my favorite. I love the character development and interactions.

When I was 13, I started telling my siblings a story when we were supposed to be doing homework. My goal was to get them to laugh, so it was very ridiculous. I made it up as I went. The story continued as we snapped green beans on the front porch and took long road trips.
